Levy Estimator

Levy Estimator

The Levy Estimator is an easy-to-use tool that allows Franklin County residents the ability to estimate the annual cost associated with proposed tax levies. In addition, property owners can see how their property taxes are distributed to the various political subdivisions within Franklin County. It should be noted that Franklin County calculates tax distributions by political subdivision and not by individual parcels. The figures provided here are estimates based on tax year 2019 values.

This should be used only as a guideline to estimate the possible effect on your tax bill, your actual tax change will likely be different than this amount.

The figures provided here are based on your 2019 taxable value and tax year 2019 rates and cannot be used to predict taxes for tax year 2020. New proposed levies are estimated from the full millage on the ballot that could be applied to your property value. The amount you pay will change with your property value and any reduction factor applied to the new levy. The effective tax rate for all existing and continuing levies will also change as a result of the triennial property value updated.

You can view your tentative property value for tax year 2020 at your2020homevalue.org. To learn more about the relationship between property value changes and tax rates see this link.

Auditor's Note: Because local taxing authorities can structure debt in different ways, levies and bond issues may result in individual tax liability less than what appears on the estimator. Please see details provided to the Auditor's office by the local taxing authority, if any, below the estimator for more information.
